Risks installing Converter Agent

I'm trying some VMWare products, and one of my concerns is to put on risk a server installing new software.

Somebody knows if there is some risk installing the Converter Agent, like as to corrupt OS or made some damage to the function?

Thanks in advance.

Use Coldclones if you want to avoid any risks

There are two ways to import a system:

hot-clones and cold-clones

With Hot-clones the system you want to import is running - you install an agent on the running system which then does the import

With Cold-clones the system you want to import is powered off and you boot into a LiveCD which then does the import without changing the target-system

Both approaches have drawbacks: with hotclones you must install an agent and you probably have issues with open files - with cold-clones the targetsystem must be powered off.
