Hello,
I use symantec backup exec system recovery (8.0.1.24976) to generate online recovery point. I need to split the image into 2048 Mo files.
It seems that Vmware converter is not able to convert that type of svi (see error below). It works fine when using single file images.
V2IDiskLib failed to open file: error Error ED800012: The internal structure of the image file (Last File Frame) is invalid, damaged or unsupported. Error ED800012: The internal structure of the image file (Frame Numbers) is invalid, damaged or unsupported.
Does anyone have that issue? is it known?
thank you for your attention,
Luc
No. No current vresion supports BESR 8. However BESR 8 lets you convert to the backup files to .VMDK (Virtual disks). So after that you can create a VM and attach these disks as virtual disks to that VM.
BESR 8 is not supported by current version of standalone converter.
Does the enterprise version of the converter support that version of BESR ?

Luc,
the Enterprise and Free versions support the exact same formats. The feature difference between them is the Remote Hot Clone being enabled (enterprise licensed version) and disabled (free standalone).
Remote hot clone means that you can install converter on one system, point converter to another system on the network, and convert the remote system to ESX.
