ESXi 1.27.2 Time service is currently not synchronized

Hi. We are facing issues regarding the error. This error causes the vCenter not accessible.

When we are trying to access/login, it displays 503 Service Unavailable (Failed to connect to endpoint: [N7Vmacore4Http20NamedPipeServiceSpecE:0x0000558b43ad9da0] _serverNamespace = / action = Allow _pipeName =/var/run/vmware/vpxd-webserver-pipe)

We cannot also login to vCenter and even doing SSH on vCenter Server.

Login to the esxi and restart service ntpd, if you are sure that your ntp server is working properly.

then go to the edit setting of vCenter server, Edit Settings > Options > VMware tools. Tick the synchronise guest time with host box to synchronize the time with the host

Hello.

Thank you for the reply.

The NTP is enabled and running. Here's the screenshot:

We had restarted the service several times, but this error still happens.

Thank you.

Hello,

Whether the service is "running" and whether the time is actually "synchronized" to the two set sources are two different things.
So, connect to your ESXi hosts via "SSH" or "Console" and check the actual state of things using common NTP-related commands, for example "ntpq -pn" and see what is actually reported.

Hello,

When running ntpq -pn, this is the output.

Thank you.

Hello,

Well, how you have determined that the time is not synchronized, from what you can see it would seem the exact opposite, at least from the point of view of your ESXi host.

Hello,

Sorry if I repeat myself but I'm confused, in your first screenshot you reported a date consistent with your first post, now instead you show another screenshot with the date and time of last August 30th and it seems to me that you can access your host without too many problems.

Have you verified that no certificates essential for the proper functioning of a vCenter object have expired in the meantime and/or that the related services are correctly started, If you can't log in in any way, including VAMI, use the console of that virtual machine to check. The vCenter object must also have a time reference consistent "with the rest of the infrastructure".

But the point of the discussion is another, if you are not confident in how to conduct certain checks, seriously, involve people who are competent in the matter. While you may receive good advice, this is still a user forum NOT an alternative to technical support and/or access to professional services.

Ferdinando
