Problem transferring VM OVF from 4.1 to 6.7, missing /dev entries

I'm trying to move a large VM from a 4.1 ESXi server to a 6.7u3.  I have exported the OVF to intermediate storage (SSD) and then registered it on the new server, but the system won't boot (old FreeBSD system) because two entries in /dev are missing, that are referenced in fstab.  I've confirmed those entries are there in the original, and not in the new instance.  If it helps, the old ESXi system has 3 datastores, and the new one only 1 (much larger) datastore, but the VM shows 10 disks.  TIA

Sounds like something went on in the export. Maybe give the converter a try in standalone mode?

Perhaps I'm not understanding, documentation I found for converter says it doesn't support either ESXi 4.1 or FreeBSD.  Did you mean something different?
