ESXi not responding after cert renewal

We have a legacy ESXi cluster still on v 6.0. It is waiting for retirement with only two production VM on it. vSphere and our other clusters are all 6.7. The host certificates on this cluster were about to expire them so I renewed them in vSphere - Configuration- Certificates. They renewed successfully but soon the hosts became "Not responding"  with "Cannot synchronize host..."

Not sure if this is due to the version mismatch between hosts and vCenter or not.

At any rate the first thing I tried was to remove and add a host back to the vSphere as I believe that refreshed or renews a cert as well. Then I discovered I didn't have a valid root password for the host. Buggers as they say. So I am pinging my team to see if anyone has the password. Meanwhile I have one disconnected host and three not responding. Any ideas?

Thanks

The solution was to simply disconnect and reconnect hosts, once I found the root password.
