Hi,
I´ve updated one of our esxi servers yesterday and since then, I´m getting the message, that the device is in error state, but it isnt.
The ILO says, everything is fine.
Now I´ve updated the whole Firmware components, but the error isn´t getting away.
Has anyone an idea, what I can do now?
Thanks
There is now a KB available. See VMware Knowledge Base
Its a workaround right now. You can disable on a very granular way the single sensor.

Known issue
Had the same thing. Open a ticket with VMware and they will show you how to make it go away

I don't think that is really the solution. If you run that ipmi command and look at the #3 sensor, it also affects a LOM and CPU#2. Disabling that sensor to mask the alert in VC is also going to do the same for the other hardware under sensor #3.
Not sure you want to hide other hardware alerts, do you?
Hi,
yeah I´ve seen it, but what choice do I have?
Till now, I´ve had never a problem with the servers in any kind.
So I hope, that Vmware will fix it soon, so that I can reenable sensor 3.
kind regards
The KB is marked as workaround and not a solution until a patch comes available.
For sure i would like to see all green within the vSphere GUI.... but to be honest... who cares about HW monitoring trough ESX/vCenter? In 9 out of 10 your VCSA is unable to send E-Mails or admin havent it configured right.
You have iLO,iDRAC,IRMC around which informs about faulty HW.
