How I removed a warning from the summary?

How do I clear out a warning exclamation point from the summary tab?

Click on the Alarms tab, and then click on Reset to green.

It depends on the kind of alarm/warning though.

Its not an alarm really. Its a message that I enabled the tech support mode on the summary tab with an exclamation point. How do I get rid of that?

Thanks

That is a security feature. It appears when the Tech Support mode has been enabled. If you set the timeout to 0 the warning will always display.

Hey thanks, but I didn't enable remote tech support, just local tech support.

Hello.

The same thing applies for Local Tech Support mode.  At this time, the only way to remove this warning is to disable Local TSM.

Good Luck!

Hi,

just run "Restart Management Agents"  from the DCUI.

Works on ESXi 4.1 both for Local and Remote tech Support warnings.

Michael.

Another option is to disable the warning from the advanced host software settings. I found instructions here:

Hope this helps!
