USB to HDMI passthrough

I have been unsuccessful at passing through my radeon   6450 using ESXi 5.5. I am giving up and wanted to know if anyone had been successful with a USB to HDMI solution?

This is depended to your motherboard compatibility with ESXi.

You can check it on this link:VMware Compatibility Guide: System Search

Well from my understanding in order to make it on that list it cost OEMs big bucks.

Obviously there is some what of a market for Virtualizing in the home. Why doesn't VMware make a home virtual server solution?

Anyway most of these USB to HDMI adapters use what's called a Displaylink chip. Displaylink themselves claim that they are not compatible with Virtualized solutions because their software depends on Nvidia GPU.

KB306: DisplayLink support for Virtual machines eg VMWare or parallels
