VLANs, port groups and Watchguard

Hi all.

I'm trying to configure a couple of esx server (4.0u1) connected through a blade switch and this one connected to a Watchguard firewall/router/everything.

I've configured some vlans on both blade switch and watchguard and everything seems fine (some other connections not passing through the esx hosts are working).

On one esx host i've configured a vswitch with some port groups.

One with vlan tag 100 for the service console and this one is working fine.

Two other port groups which i have assigned some virtual hosts. Those hosts are not able to connect to the external world...they connot even ping the gw.

The strange thing is that the service console is working but the vservers not.

What could be?

thanks

Pier

PS: I've attached a screenshot of the vmware conf

Hi,

And you have configured VLAN 1001 and 1002?

Is the ESX-nic connected to a trunk port that has all configured VLANs available?

Ahhh...shame on me!!

I forgot to add the vlans to the blade switch to the right port!

Thanks for the input.
