VMWARE ESXI - Expand Datastore

Hi,

We are planning to add more physical storage to a esxi server that we have running and need to expand the datastore.

Question is this possible and will it cause issues on our ESXI server if we do the growing/increase of the datastore once we add it.

We have the storage array setup in a certain way and was wondering if adding more storage will cause issues with this array.

I have read the arcticle: about growing or expanding the datastore.

You can do this online without issues to ESXi and for procedures, see the documentation: Increasing VMFS Datastore Capacity

If your storage array supports capacity expansion, you shouldn't have issues with increasing the LUN/datastore size for the ESXi host(s).
