I have a dual x64 Xeon 3.0Ghz processors with 16 GB RAM. I need to install two OpenSuse 10.3 x64 server guests as this will consolidate two of my machines into one. I get a nice little message from the installer app saying that I am running a 32-bit hardware. I made sure the BIOS reports EM64T. Just for kicks I tried to run the Windows Server 2008 x64 Intall, same message "trying to install 64-bit OS on 32-bit hardware". Is there any possible setting I missed in setting up my Host ESXi 4 or are my processors just not compatiable with ESXi 4?

Enable VT in server BIOS.

Hi Anton, I figured it would be that. The BIOS of this server has no option for Enable VT-x. This to me means then that the server is not compatiable with running x64 guests? If not then I'll have to figure out something else.
Found this - http://www.vmwareinfo.com/2009/02/enable-vt-and-evc-in-dell-bios.html
I have HP servers, so can't help you more than google.

Hey Anton, thanks again for the advice. My processors are VT-x compatiable. I'll figure something else out.
