We are planning to migrate 3000+ vm's from azure to vmware.
Can we achieve this migration using HCX? what other options we have to perform this migration smoothly.
Thank you!!
HCX only supports vSphere, KVM and Hyper-V as a source.
Thanks @ChrisFD2 for the clarification.
Could you please let me know vmware native solutions to perform azure to vmware migration?
Thank You!!
You could try vCenter Convertor but I don't think native Azure VMs are officially supported.
May be you can use a tool like Zerto (available on Azure) to do it. We are using it to unboard customers to our private platforms or DR or to move to Azure. So pretty sure that the reverse is possible.

Good question. But in this video on 10:10 time speaker is describing migration from Azure to VMware Cloud is possible
I not tested but in worst case Azure this is Hyper-V correct ?
If you have possibility to test let me know.
Sebastian
I don't know if there's some confusion there. Whilst it might be possible if the VMs are Hyper-V based, using HCX is contingent on the ability to deploy a functional service mesh. There is no way to deploy a HCX Connector & OSAM appliance into native Azure, and you don't have permissions to deploy the Connector into AVS if you somehow were able to get L2 connectivity in from Azure into AVS (single site mesh is a valid solution for OSAM).
Converter does not support Azure machine conversions as of now.
