HCX vMotion

Hi,

For the vMotion migration via HCX, does it require network extension feature to be enabled?

Generally, if we do vMotion migration via HCX from on premise to cloud then VM IP will get changed right? But on which network will it get vMotion? Because for the vMotion, source and destination network must be same right?

You would need L2E for the VM to keep the same IP. You can however vMotion without L2E, and you can place the VM on whichever network you choose. You would have to do some steps on the guest OS for it to get connectivity on the new network which would be outside of the HCX scope.
