Hi everyone,
I need a little confirm over Public IP configuration for UAG HA solution.
If I have two UAG and I enable the HA feature, Do I need fo 3 Public IP (with their Public DNS association)?
- Public IP and DNS Name for VIP
- Public IP and DNS Name for UAG1
- Public IP and DNS Name for UAG2
Is it correct? I suppose Yes because I find this:
The question is because I have a non-constant operation of the infrastructure every now and then I get the following error:
Failed to resolve proxyng route for request (from WEB Client)
The Connection to the remote computer ended.
Thank you
Fabio
Yes you are correct ! you will need 3 public IP's for a HA configuration with 2 UAG's! 1 Public IP will be used for load balancing and the other 2 Public IP's will be used for the actual VDI network traffic like Blast/ PCoIP/ etc and points directly to both your UAG's.
I also use this configuration and its working fine for me. What UAG version do you use ? I use this configuration on version: 3.10. I experienced some HA bugs on certain older versions of the UAG.
I still don't understand what is the point of configuring UAG HA.
In my Lab, when I connect to vIP (UAG HA vIP) all connection is made to Primary/Master UAG.
I do understand there will be a LB in front of UAG, for which I am trying to configure F5 VE. I belive I will need 3 x Virtual servers in LB? which maps to 3 x Public IP!?
Sorry no intention to hijack this post, want to have follow up discussion.
