We have 4 connection servers, 2 per site:
Site 1: Connection Server #1 [192.168.168.1.10], Connection Server #2 [192.168.168.1.11]
Site 2: Connection Server #3 [192.168.168.2.10], Connection Server #4 [192.168.168.2.11]
Round robin DNS A records are setup:
vditest.company.com [192.168.168.1.10]
vditest.company.com [192.168.168.1.11]
vditest.company.com [192.168.168.2.10]
vditest.company.com [192.168.168.2.11]
In this scenario, what happens when a client connects to Connection Server #3 or #4, but their home site is at Site #1? Does it retain a session on Site #2's connection servers, or does the session get transferred to Site #1?
Without using a load balancer, is there a better option than using round robin DNS with the above config?
If your configuration is using CPA and the global entitlement is set for all sites then the user will connected to site 2 but would be provided a resource from site 1 if there are available resources.
