How do you do this if you are a Veeam customer?
Because that solution cannot backup independent disks.
What is the recommended way to backup or replicate Persistent Disks?
What is the exact disk mode you're using here? Bottom line is if you're using independent mode, you can't snapshot it ergo Veeam can't replicate it. You'd have to use some in-guest process for that.
Yes they are independent...so I am wondering what other solutions people are using to backup/replicate their persistent disks...
From my experience...they aren't. Primarily because independent disks are a very, very small use case and a specialized one at that and very rarely seen in virtualized server environments. When it's done there, it's usually, again, for very specific needs and those are mainly for things like test/dev or educational environments where there's no (or small) backup needs.
Right...but in Horizon View Linked Clones the Persistent Disks are independent and will contain user profiles if you are not using Persona Management or roaming profiles etc.
Thus, is there any info on how to effectively backup or replicate these disks.
It seems not.
That's generally why personae management exist.
