Noisy audio on VMware View by using USB headset

Hi,

We have a problem on our VDI platform with USB headset, most of our users are Call Center user and need to good audio quality for their requets,

In normal cases, audio quality is good but when users wants to scroll a page in browser or use graphical applications and even using volume mixer, he faced with noise and in some cases vioce will be cutted off.

Based on my experince, it's not related to our resources, because we have enough resources and also we've checked it on virtual machines by increase CPU ferequancy, memory size, core per socket or etc.

Also we checked PCoIP vaiables on clients and hosts and use different values for FPS, initial image qulaity even we disabled BTL feature, but nothing changed.

How to setting to enable usb audio device. In my enviroment,i cannot find out the usb device in audio device of VM when plugin usb headset?

The USB will redirection to the VM when you using USB headset.Can you improve the USB channel performace?

We are using Jabra USB headset, it will install Jabra Link device on Windows as a sound device,

About analog devices, sound quality is very good by using them also virtual machine performance will improve,

I donot know why my usb device do not work in my enviroment.

By the way,the analog input is ok in your enviroment?

In my environment,the analog output is ok,but the input is also not work.

Yes, analog headset working ver well in my environment,

But we have to use USB headset!

Anyway, I recommend use analog headsets because you will have better voice quality on your VoIP service and better performance on your virtual machines,

I can share my experiences with you about it.

But i have download the Teradici Audio Driver_1_1_0_10277.zip.

i have installed it to the VM and set the teradici audio driver as default.

But the analog input donot work still.It cannot record any sound from my microphone.

If you set Teradici sound device as default, maybe a restart can help you

The problem is still even on new VMware Horizon View.

If you are redirecting the audio device to the desktop as a USB device and providing you are running Horizon View 5.2 or later then

instructions detailed here:  VMware KB: How to improve audio quality when using USB headsets or speakers with a View desktop    *might* help you get improved audio quality.

This is turned off by default, as it is not a fix-all solution  and it might help you but it depends on your application and physical hardware.

Thanks for mentioned article, I have tested before and as you mentioned on your post, I can't fix all problem.

I tested it with 2 vCPU and nothing changed, after increase vCPU to 4, voice quality was good.

So I recommend, if you don't have enough resources, analog headset and Teradici audio driver is better than this solution.
