Id like to be able to schedule my linked-close pools to refresh back to the parent snapshot every week, on the weekend. Is anyone aware of such a scheduling method. Id rather not use the "refresh when user logs off function"
If it's a persistent pool you can schedule refreshes every 7 days. If it's a floating pool you can look into using a powershell script to handle the refresh. You could try something like the Send-LinkedCloneRefresh command and set it to run every week via a task scheduler.
I’ve been looking at the powershell scripts but have no idea where to start or how to run them. Do I need to create a batch file and run that from the task scheduler?
