Hello Everyone
I am new to the VMware enviroment. Within the next few weeks a team of engineers with various levels of experiece in VMware will be getting together to design a VMware infrstructure for my site based on vSphere 4. The setup will include a SAN (dell Equilogic).
At present I have various VLans set up to segment the existing buildings, servers, switches/routers, etc. I am a little curious on the best practice methods in regards to VLANing the san and the vmware envireonment (ie.. votion needs its own vlan. storage needs its own vlan.. ). If the collegues out there could provide some guidance, or point me to a few documents that expand on the proper use of v-lans as it will apply to the SAN and Vsphere it would be greately appreciated.
I am not sure if I posted the question int he right location.
Thank You
Ace.
