SRM5 with vSphere5 standard

My 2 sites have vSphere5 standard license (no cluster, no HA). Can SRM5 (vSphere replication without SRA) be installed in this scenario to guard VMs?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Community - Yes, SRM no longer requires a SAN you can do site to sire replication - but please note you still need vCenter at both the protected and recovery site -

Sorry, I didn't post my question clearly. I am trying to understand if I need the ESXi hosts in Cluster or not. With SRM5 standard license I can't create cluster... so can I still use SRM (VR based replication)?

You do not need a cluster - SRM works with anything besides the Essentials packages.

Thanks. I have tried it myself and it works without cluster.
