site pairing compatible version

Hi Team,

Is there a link that specifies SRM versions supported for pairing, for example 

if Site A is running SRM & Replication appliance on version 8.5 

Site B is running SRM & Replication appliance on version 8.7

Can these sites be paired? Is there a documentation link that clearly defines which versions can be paired and which cannot? thanks
