Hello all,
I am desperately looking for solution to stop VMware hardware beep warning. The only battery in hardware is replaced and I am pretty sure this is not a battery issue.
Error on boot:
Battery Status: Missing
Please see attachment for details.
Any help would be mostly appreciated!!
From the photo it looks like the battery missing message is from the Asus PIKE 3108-8i firmware.
It looks like there is an optional Battery Backed Unit using the LSI CacheVault.

That's your BIOS, this has nothing to do with any VMware product.
The battery (CR2032) of hardware has been changed and there is no other visible battery which could cause the beeping.
Is it anyhow possible to disable beep warnings from the devices bios? I haven't found any choice for this.
And of course the cause would be nice to know, why this warning still comes.
The Asustek PIKE does not have a battery (for caching etc) but I think hardware thinks it has...? (Possibly)

Hey,
Thank you very much for the tip! I guess it must be this setting, gotta try to change it to Silence mode. In this PIKE model of ours, there is no battery for cache...
So I just wonder why it started to alarm in the first place, I guess there is no log in the bios where you can see what is wrong and why the alert is on... When there is no battery.
This is not really an issue for VMTN but for an Asus user forum.
Yes it seems to be, anyway huge thanks for Bluefirestorm to guide me to the ASUS component direction.
I hope this helps someone else facing the same problem in the future.
