Question for the folks that have already taken the VCAP5-DCD. In your opinion, how did the amount of work required in the Visio-style questions compare to VMware's sample question?

VMware also had a similar demo for a sample task on the VCAP5-DCA, but the task demonstrated there was much shorter than anything I encountered on the actual exam. I'm wondering if that might hold true on the DCD too. I'm just trying to get a ballpark idea for how much time I'll need for the visual questions, especially since everything has to be answered in order now, and it sounds like the visualization tasks are weighted much more heavily than the others.
Thanks!
Hi,
In my opinion the demo is much simpler and also different than what is in the VCAP5 exams. They tell you at the beginning that you should plan on spending 15-20 minutes per visio style question. The diagrams aren't extremely hard but make sure you use the scissors to remove mistakes rather than trying to drag an incorrect piece to the recycle bin as this will sometimes cause the whole diagram to shift out of the screen and make you restart again due to it being so muddled.

Thanks, Gregg! Good write-up, too. That design workshop looks helpful for sure, but I don't think it's in the cards for me. I assume all of the accompanying documentation (labs, etc) is confidential? I have the Trainsignal vSphere Design course by Scott Lowe, but I'm not sure how much overlap there is between the two.
Anyway, thanks again!
There are more than one "visio", most are design oriented, but I remember also one (at least) that was procedure oriented (so have a look also at what you have studied for the DCA).
Good to know. Thanks Andre!
