just curious if i have time to make one,
thanks,

My understanding is that will be the last opportunity to defend for the VCDX4 -
And apparently March 12, 2012 was the deadline for applying for Toronto, is that right?
Yesterday, yes.
Now we're finally seeing sign of the new VCAP's I expect the next date announced will be for VCDX 5.
I don't think the anouncement will be this early.
VCAP5-DCD beta was released recently and the orignal exam will take 2 months. VCAP-DCA beta is not even anounced yet!!!
Maybe next month. So another two months for the orignail VCAP5-DCA.
That's at least 3 to 4 months from now. And I am not sure how long it's going to take to anounce for VCDX after they release the VCAPs.
So I think VMware can add another VCDX4 defence till they release the new version.
And don't forget there are Enterprise environments that are still on 3.5 that are planning to migrate to 4.x sometime this year or next year. (Last year for Extended support for 3.5)!!!
No maybe not an announcement this soon. But I think if I didn't submit a design yesterday, today I'd be writing one based on vSphere 5 rather than 4. Defense sessions are infrequent at best and while there are laggards on 3.5, most sites are at least looking at 5 now. After May the next defense will likely be in the VMworld timeframe when who knows what will be announced - I don't think VMware want their flagship cert to be too far behind the release schedule.
Hi Saadat,
Any expected date when they are migrating
Oh, If you are talking about VCDX 5, You can start working on your design now and when the VCAP exams are available, take the exams and after passing them submit your design. I have no idea when they will upgrade to 5.

Seems so. But VCDX5 has not yet be announced. So we must must wait an official reply from VCDX certification team.
Registration for the Toronto VCDX defense closed on Monday 3/12/2012. At this time there are no additional VCDX 4 defenses scheduled for 2012.
However, the VCDX program continues to grow and the VMware Certification Team will provide program updates and an opportunity to pre-register for future VCDX events in the very near future.
Darn, I was just about to throw my hat in the ring!
me too.
I have always been told that VCDX4 ends at Toronto. An update on VCDX5 should be provided soon.
