Hi there,

I wanted to reach out and inquire about the VCP-DCV 2V0-21.23 exam.

I currently work with vSphere 8 at my company and was wondering if I could apply for the exam without having to attend a training course at an institute.

Also, I was wondering if there are any specific conditions or requirements for taking the exam.

If this is your first time earning a VCP, you must complete a training. There is a comprehensive list of which trainings qualify. https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dcv.html. Regarding taking the exam, you can take the training and exam in either order. As long as all requirements are met it doesn't matter which happens first. The exam guide (https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/certification/vmw-vcp-dcv-8-exam-g...) can give you more guidance  on what topics are covered so you can focus your study time.

Anyone can attempt and pass the exam, but on it’s own that doesn’t mean you will be certified - you must also complete authorised training to meet the requirements.

I have been passed the exam but the training  expensive ,So how I apply the training with less price for certification ?

The cheapest way of completing the required training is usually through a VMware IT Academy partner: https://www.vmware.com/company/it-academy.html

These partners are colleges/universities who offer authorised courses for students who are self-funding.

Their training will run over a typical academic semester, taking many weeks.

There is a special version of the exam (with a code ending "PSE") which students can take once they have completed the course with the partner, if you do contact a partner you should tell them you have already passed the exam.
