Guys , Im going to attempt the VCP 5 exam in a number of weeks. I'm just wondering how many questions are in the exam and what the scoring is to pass the exam? Also, on multiple choice questions, where there might be 3 selections required , if I get 2/3 do I get a % of the score or do VMware view this as being wrong?
here you have the blueprint:
135 questions
300/500 to pass the exam
i dont, know the scoring works...maybe you find it in the blueprint...
The blueprint is critical to understanding the exam.
I believe each item is either marked correct or not - so you would need to choose the right 3 answers for a "choose 3 answers" question.
But, as you don't get visibility of the scoring try not to worry about it - focus on being prepared to answer questions on the topics in the blueprint...
My understanding is that each question is weighted and you do not get the same amount of points for each correct question. For example with a maximum of 500 points available over 135 questions you could assume that each question is worth 3.7 points but I believe this is not true. VMware do not publish how they score each question and it may be that if you get 2 out of 3 correct on a select 3 answers question then you will be awarded some points for your correct selections but not the full amount of points available for that questions, this is only my thoughts and may not be correct.
