VI3: Error appearing on 1/3 ESX 3.5 Servers "AAM warning message: Rejected user 'root' connection attempt via ftcli: User access denied"
the answer might be quite simple as it seems to be a root user error, but i have 3x identical esx servers all with the same permissions setup in virtual center 2.5 and was hoping somebody has come across this before, the main result is that this esx is constantly "red" in virtual center.
Many Thanks in Advance
Alex
Try disable / enable HA
Try disconnect/connect in vCenter

do you recommend configuring virtual center with the esx's dns names or straight ip address?
Allways use the FQDN of your ESX host. Make sure your DNS is working properly and configure DNS redundancy.
If you want to utilize VMware HA, DNS (and using FQDN) is a requirement
