1.1.1 update

I would like to download the 1.1.1 update but it says it is 171 megs. I have satellite connection with a daily download limit. Why is an "update" such a large file? Is there another way to get this update?

It's a complete version, not just the changes; you can install 1.1.1 standalone. I don't think there's currently another way to get updates.

The file is that size because it is the complete program version not just a patch to that version.

You may have to have someone you know that has a regular broadband connection to download it for you and burn it to CD or put in on a Flash Drive.

If the VMWare web server supports download resume you can use a command line utility such as curl or wget to download the file over two days. On the second day you request the file again with resume enabled. The curl program comes with OS X and wget is a free download.

So the next question is - does the server support resume?
