Can't connect USB device? (Windows 7 beta)

Hey, I know Windows 7 isn't "fully supported" but I think this either is a user error (meaning I'm doing something wrong) or just something that can be fixed.

I'm trying to connect my Blackberry and I'm clicking the button to connect it on VMware (the icon in the lower right hand corner) but nothing happens. Is there a reason why this is happening?

I have a 17'' Macbook Pro (early 2008) if that matters

Had a similar issue with pretty much anything other than

mass storage devices. I don't recall who on this forum suggested it,

but go into the device manager in Windows 7 and in one of

the menus select discover new hardware. This worked for me.
