Advertise route from VM

Hi Guys,

I have a requirement where there are some routes are configured on VM which needs to be advertised to the TOR switch.

I am thinking of establishing a BGP between T0 and VM, so that all routes which are at the VM can be advertised to the T0 and then to the TOR switch but i haven't find any such solution that was implemented earlier so don't know if it is possible. Also, are there any suggestion to advertise routes from VM itself ?

Any help is much appreciated.

The short answer is Yes. If the VM has routing capabilities. But I'm unsure what you are trying to achieve.

Hi @Sreec

I should have elaborate it in my initial post.

I have one Public IP which will be configured on the VM and this IP need to be advertised to the TOR switch. So for this i was thinking of configuring BGP between VM and T0 router afterwhich Public IP will be advertised and then it will be advertised to the switch. We dont have option to NAT neither we want to configure any static routes.

do you think this can be achieved ? or is there any better solution to do this ?

Why are you bypassing T1? I would recommend you configure NAT on T1 and advertise NAT (Public IP) to T0.

We cannot do NAT as application has some issue when NAT is enabled

You can skip NAT and do routing in that case. I don't see any issues with that approach either.
