I am trying to install oracle linux 6.7 on vmware workstation 12.1.1 and 14.0-14.1
The problem I am facing is, the guest OS is giving me kernel panic every time I try to boot with Oracle's UEK (Unbreakable) kernel, but if I boot using Red Hat Compatiable kernel, everything is smooth. I am facing this issues on some machines, not all. I have some IBM M series servers, UEK kernel works well, but on some other machine with Gigabyte/Asrock Rack motherboard, the UEK kernel gives panic, Red Hat kernel works. I need to UEK kernel to work on those machine because they are required for Oracle EBS installation. Can anyone help?
We have an internal bug to track this issue, thank you.

Which version of UEK kernel in your Guest OS?
If it is UEK R3, this is an Oracle Linux bug, please update to UEKR4. And whether this issue reproduce again?
If it is UEK R4, could you please provide more info? Thank you very much.
