Switching to unity changes background in VM

Is it possible to have the desktop not change when switching to Unity mode? I always have to change it again manually for it to work. However when exiting Unity the background image is as it should be. I know this probably has to do with the way the Unity mode works when stripping the VM of typical GUI elements not needed.

We remove the wallpaper temporarily so that it doesn't show through transparent or glassy areas of windows.  Can I ask what you're doing that requires the wallpaper to not change?

I have the background picture set to be the same as the host. I prefer the windows to all have aero that matches (purely an asthetic thing). I find the border imposed by workstation to be enough.

Is it possible to disable this feature in workstation?

OK, I see what you mean now.  Unfortunately, we don't have a way to prevent Tools from changing the wallpaper.
