VMWare USB Arbitration Service does not start automatically (Workstation 7)

The service is set to start automatically, but it doesn't. It can be started manually, and seems to run ok.

The system is Win XP SP3.

System Log contains:

Event ID 7009: Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the VMware USB Arbitration Service service to connect.

Event ID 7000: The VMware USB Arbitration Service service failed to start due to the following error:

The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

VMWare Workstation 7.0.0 build-203739

Please advise.

Sorry, I didn't know that this is not possible with XP.

You kann try to set the service to manual start and make an autostart cmd with the command:

net start "VMware USB Arbitration Service"
