VMWare Workstation 8 Security Controls

I recall reading about the ability to lockout features from the main workstation window (ability to create VM's, edit VM's, and modify network settings) with a passphrase. I have just downloaded the Workstation 8 trial, and I am not finding those controls in the preferences. Do these options still exist, and if so, where are they located.

Thanks in advance.

We removed the feature lock-out a couple of versions ago because it didn't actually prevent you from creating new VMs;  you could create a .vmx file manually and open it in Workstation.  What we have now is encrypted VMs.  One of the benefits of encrypting a VM is that no one can open it or change its settings without the password.
