vCLI backup vicfg-cfgbackup.pl question

I would have posted this in vSphere forums but for some reason it doesnt have the option to start a new thread there only here. Anyways I have used the vCLI backup function to back my esxi server up, however i was wondering what it accualy backs up because it didnt take long at all nor is it a big file and i have elastix VOIP server runing inside it. (Not that i have added users or even configured it yet just installed)

What does this accualy backup everything installed on the esxi server or JUST the esxi config such as Static IP and such.

Appreciate any inputs on this.

Thanks,

Lance DeWitt.

it only backups the esxi-config / or part of it.

To backup your VMs copy the directories from your VMs in /vmfs/volumes/...

No one knows what it backs up? Hard to think that a 14kb backup file has ESXI config and Elastix VOIP server saved in it.
