I have downloaded VMware workstation 12.1.0 eval version today on my windows 8 machine and installed windows 7 as a vm in it. I am trying to access my windows 8 machine from ipad and I have successfully connected through a remote desktop app which I got from ipad app store. I have zagg Bluetooth keyboard for my ipad.
While installing VMware workstation, I have selected install enhanced virtual keyboard driver option and rebooted it after my installation. Now when I try to type something on my windows 8 machine from my ipad it works fine. I am able to type with my ipad keyboard.
Only problem is when I start win7 vm, and start typing, it never works. VMware tools are up to date. I have enabled enhanced keyboard feature in vm options, and in enhanced keyboard option, I checked with "use if available" option and "Required" options. For both options, keyboard doesn't work in that vm. if I press space bar, character d comes in. I am checking it in typing in a notepad. Please find the message it shows in vm options. I have attached screenshot. Can someone please help me?
