i do not have x installed just yet how do i download workstation tar ball with wget which url the one i copied from my mac to linux server does not work

download it with your MAC and upload the tar to your linux server via SSH or FTP

i am unable to do that as my imac and labtop are on the same cable connection, or should i say they are on the same connection but not at the same time.
