Hello there!
I have seen some posts with this issue, but I was unable to find a solution.
As per the subject, I am having an issue when trying to clone or move a VM from one host to another.
I'm quite sure this is because of a datastore issue/corruption.
Is there a way to analyze a datastore for errors without risk of data loss?
Any information you can provide will be helpful!
Thanks in advance.
@Gundisalvus,
Could you share the ESXi version and also mention if there were any recent changes like host upgrades etc. ? Also, have we tried to power off the VM, power back ON and then clone/migrate?
Hello Shen! Thank you for your reply.
ESXi version is 7.0.3, and yes, I have tried cloning and migrating the VMs while they are powered on, as well as powered off.
There were no recent host upgrades. We had this issue since a disk failed, however we have already replaced that disk with a new one. Even though we corrected that issue, we are unable to backup some VMs with Veeam, clone them or move them.
