Hello all
There is a workaround to migrate from windows vcenter 6.x to vcsa version.
I need a clear answer if the opposite is true without installing a NEW windows vcenter and move everything to the new one
Your help will be valuable
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Yes, you can migrate from VCS 6.U2 to VCSA 6.U2 with vSphere migration Tool 6.U2.
Look in this links for more information:
vSphere 6.0 Documentation Center
vCenter Server Migration Tool: vSphere 6.0 Update 2m - VMware vSphere Blog

DanielOprea,
Do you have more information about this? Everything I am searching for only shows that the migration tool will migrate VCS 5.5 to VCSA 6. I can't seem to locate anything about going from VCS 6 to VCSA 6.
Thank you
Jon
If you do find a solution for this (I am aware of none) be mindful that VMware are releasing certain new features in the VCSA only (vCenter HA for example).
The roadmap "seems" to be that the Windows Server edition will eventually go especially now that the VCSA supports everything (and more) than the Windows edition does
