vCenter 5.5 Virt Appliance:not works: cannott save Embedded data base

Hi,

I have an issue with making work VC va. I need it for test lab, so use an evaluation.

DNS name works fine. Domain authentication works. Test and save of Embedded DB shows success.

But when switch to another tab and back to DB it shows again not configured.

What could be the cause.?

After you switch back leave it for a while. it will say Not configured but it will be fetching the information. After a While it will say embedded. If after waiting for a while its showing Not configured let me know. Just making sure its not a problem with your patience

you are right! it was my patience. And DB status is OK now.

However, my vCenter still doesn't work. I restarted the appliance. See please a pic. vCenter is Stopped and the Start button is greyed out.

What can I do?

You logged in to the host using root user? If not login with Root and try.

please post a screenshot.

see please attached file.   I guess the problem is that vpxd cannot initialize.
