vCenter 6.5 VCSA HA Affinity rule settings not found

Hello, I have installed VCSA 6.5 GA release and I created VM-Host group, VM-Host rules, but after that I cannot find the "Edit vSphere HA Rule Settings" to enable "vSphere HA should respect VM to Host affinity rules during failover" host affinity rule settings. HA and DRS both are enabled and configured. I am running a two-node stretched VSAN cluster with a witness host.

but see below what I am seeing on my cluster configuration, there is no HA Rule Settings on 6.5 - I cannot find where it is

please let me know anyone from here, where to find this affinity settings.

In vCenter Server Advanced Settings property -> config.vpxd.vcha.drsAntiAffinity  set to false you may see that option .

Hello, I have set it to false but nothing appeared, do i need to reboot the vcenter ?

You may do reboot and try , normally these changes not required reboot  .

Also refer below page , if you have missed something wile configuring DRS

nothing appeared, because option config.vpxd.vcha.drsAntiAffinity seem not related to your problem. This option overrides the anti-affinity rule for vcenter HA-VMs (not vsphere HA) which enforces vcenter main, backup and witness server to be on different hosts.

I had the same problem like you on vcenter 6.5:

- ha rule settings not visible in web client

- ha rule settings only visible in html5 client, but without edit-button

The post Changes in HA in vSphere 6.0 discribes option das.respectVmHostSoftAffinityRules=true  . I added this as advanced parameter at [cluster] -> configure -> vsphere availability -> advanced options. (My GUI is not in english so it may be different) Now I can see the following in HTML5 GUI at Cluster/Configuration/VM Host Rules: "VM-to-Host Affinity rules: HA should respect rules during Failover" (again translated to english).

VM AntiAffinityRules can be configured with das.respectVmVmAntiAffinityRules = True according to HA und DRS - VMware-Forum (in german).
