Host base rule for vSAN policy

Hi all,

I have a project with deploy replicate with Commvaults product, & Commvaults team need create VM storage policy on vSAN datastore, but must be enable host base rule (Policy Structure) on vSAN datastore for purpose replicate another policy.

My confuse : VM storage policy have support enable host base rule or not ? I try create new policy with enable host base rule on vSAN datastore & seen vSAN datastore will not compatible.

Have anybody help me clearly this ?

Hi,

Could you share the error you're receiving, version of vSphere and vSAN? Host-based rules are support in a vSAN since you can do encryption and I/O control.

Yes. After choose Storage I/O Control, vSAN datastore is compatible now.
