CLI - I need to create a new share disk for the windows cluster.

Hello great people,

Please kindly help me out.

I need to create a new share disk for the windows cluster.

I have been told I can not use the GUI to do this, it can only happen using CLI command

The disk will be Thick Provision Eager Zeroed into a particular "LON-DCL-FS001/LONxyz_share_disks/Lon-dc-data2.vmdk

Message was edited by a.p.: Changed title to from "CLI" to s.th. more descriptive.

You should be able to create such a virtual disk in the desired location (in case the folder does not already exist, create it from the Datastore Browser) from the GUI, by simply adding a new virtual disk to one of the cluster nodes.

Hi

You need to set the sharing mode to multi-writer, It enables writing data to a single VMSK from to different VM, But you need clustering inside the VMs.
