Delete DataStore Files

Hello all,

I am trying to delete a Datastore (VVol).
I can unmount it with no issues using vSphere, but I cannot detach from VASA Provider because the volume is not empty.

My IBM Storage shows two VVol files (1GB each)

31 rfc4122.d5f6ed21-13b8-46e6-9de7-748599a5adce 0           io_grp0       online 3            Slow-Disk-Child 1.00GB

35 rfc4122.74abcf63-be8a-4749-b016-98a6b0c5794d 0           io_grp0       online 3            Slow-Disk-Child 1.00GB

VMWare GUI and the CLI show that the Datastore contains no files, but I get 2GB used Capacity.

:/vmfs/volumes] cd VVol\ Test\ DataStore/

:/vmfs/volumes/vvol:ce93f6ef840041ee-8a2cc17392862266] ls -al

total 0

Is there another way to get rid of those VVol files?

I know this is not IBM, but perhaps the logic of the actions could be helpful.

Thank you Berndt. It seems that I had to login as a user designated with the VASA role and delete the VVols. More of an IBM problem than VMware.
