Today i got the security advisory from vmware to update tools to 10.3. after googling i could not find how this was done automatically, through update manager like my patching of the esxi hosts. there it says tools are current, but in add/remove programs its 10.1. I know vmtools have been out of date before and updated so what am i missing? or do i really have to do each server one at a time from iso or exe?
thanks.
So my update manager will not assist me in updating all the tools across all my servers? I have to download and run individually on each guest OS?
or is what i'm looking for happen after i get hosts updated with latest?
EDIT: This was what i was looking for but wasn't sure how to ask it. I can manually download and install vmtools updates, but it will be bundled into esxi host updates that i can apply via update manager i just have to wait for release.
