Change memory size of a Windows 2008 Server

Hi,

Is it ok to change (decrease) the memory size of a Virtual Windows Small Business Server 2008 machine ? as I seem to recall from ages ok that this can cause problems.

This is not a problem, but you will need to shut the VM down first.

On power up Win2k8 will detect the memory change.

One day I will virtualise myself . . .

I have never hear dof any problems decreasing a VMs memory -

It's just like a hardware downgrade, your OS will still function if he has the minimum requirements.
