I've recently had a bad experience with Sun telling me "we won't support Solaris 10 on VMware ". Brings the question up in my mind but cannot find on VMware's site - is there a list of OS vendors that play nicely? If/when i need to open support tickets for Microsoft or Linux, will i meet the same brick wall?
Well Microsoft is not so nice...
Microsoft support statement for VMware - http://www.vmware.com/pdf/ms_support_statement.pdf
Support policy for Microsoft software running in non-Microsoft hardware virtualization software - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/897615

THanks for these links! I'm trying to consolidate all the info out there from each OS vendor and software vendor i work with regarding their VM support stance. Sounds like great fodder for a wiki if anyone is running one for vm info.
One thing i have not found a clear statement on is Red Hat Enterprise, anyone have an official statement on that?
