Hi,
We tried to give permissions to display on top of an Internal application, without success based on kb
https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/78590
We have also tried with the Content application as it says in the kb but the permissions are not granted, to display on top (System_Alert_Window), but others like the camera .... work.
We are using Samsung device with Android 12 and 13 in COBO.
Can you give us a hand?
We add the xml of the profile:
<characteristic uuid="ece876fd-da7d-424f-9bab-85a1b483e95d" type="com.airwatch.android.androidwork.permissions" target="1">
<parm name="MasterRuntimePermission" value="1" type="integer" />
<parm name="AppLevelRuntimePermissions" value= W3sicGFja2FnZU5hbWUiOiJjb20uYWlyd2F0Y2guY29udGVudGxvY2tlciIsInBlcm1pc3Npb25zIjpbeyJuYW1lIjoiYW5kcm9pZC5wZXJtaXNzaW9uLlNZU1RFTV9BTEVSVF9XSU5ET1ciLCJ2YWx1ZSI6IjEifV19XQ==" " type="string" />
</characteristic>
Content version: 23.09.04 and others 22.10 …
We use Base64 Encode just like the screenshot
Hi ,
Can you provide the manifest file and also you will have to check if the permission you are trying to set is a run time permission or not. As if it's not then we cannot control it using UEM console.
hi,
thanks for your answer, do you mean the xml with the permissions? or is it a different file?
Hi,
Yes you will have to verify if the permission you are trying to configure is a runtime (dangerous) or another type of permission. UEM can only manage the runtime permission.

Hi Alberto,
You can refer to the Techzone article where I have updated the configuration details for App permission : https://techzone.vmware.com/managing-android-devices-workspace-one-operational-tutorial#application-....
Hope this helps.

Siddesh
