Adding additional Datastore completes - but isnt shown in the view

Hi all,

Im currently working in a lab environment, when I click to add storage to a second host from within the Datastore (the storage is Starwind iscsi) I hit Disk\Lun and then select the LUN clicking next and keeping the existing signature. The mounting process completes without any errors but the storage isnt visible within the Datastore view even after a rescan. This is on VCenter Server 5.1 - any ideas please?

Also both connections are shown within Starwind.

Also suggesting you to unmount that lun, make sure the lun number is unique; connect the vsphere client directly to the host (not via vcenter) and add the lun, rescan and check. gudluck.

Can you confirm the added datastore has another name? If not, try (temporarily) renaming the existing datastore to see whether the added one shows up after a rescan.
