Is ESX 2.5.1 compatible with Virtual Center 2.5?

We are planning to upgrade our ESX 2.5.1 servers to ESX 3.5, I was planning on upgrading Virtual Center from 2.0 to 2.5 first. I have done this but now can't seem to connect to my 2.5 ESX servers from VC. The compatibility guide seems to indicate that these versions should be compatible. Is anyone aware of any additional work that needs to be done to the ESX hosts to make them work with virtual center 2.5? Thanks

I agree it sounds like the two products should work together but I can't reconnect my servers to VC. Do I need to do anything special to t he VC agent to work? or any other suggestions?

Thanks

I tried removing one host so I could re-add and it did not help. The message I get when trying to connect is "Unable to contact the specified host (lab-esx-1.prodtest.com). This might be becasue the host is not available on the network, there's a network configuratioin problem, or the management services on the host are not responding". I can ping the ESX server no problem..
